Ava Sosnoff
I’m Ava, one of the seniors from Oakland School for the Arts. This is my second year as an intern at the Asian Art Museum and I’m very excited for the new team this year! I am in the visual arts emphasis at my school and I’m slowly growing into myself as an artist. I enjoy working with pencil and ink media, I’m working towards incorporating colors into my art.
I’m not a TV show person really but I love watching movies. I don’t like mentioning that because there’s usually at least one person in the room who’s way more into movies than I am. That aside, some of my favorite movies are My Own Private Idaho, In the Mood for Love, All About My Mother, and The Princess Bride.
As a person of mixed Asian descent, I’m constantly searching for where I fit in the world. I have the most dedication to learning about my Korean heritage, mostly because I feel like I owe it to myself and to my family.
