Fave Part of the Museum: Carmen

Even though the Flower Power Exhibit is temporary, it is probably my favorite part of the museum because it evokes how different cultures use flowers for ornaments or allegorical icons. Flowers were used during the Vietnam War as a way to stop the war and express peace and love, and I think it is important to show unity with it, especially during these past few weeks with the white supremacist rallies around the U.S.. A specific art concept that emphasizes unity and peace that I enjoy, is where we would give a flower to a stranger. It allowed me to interact with people and better their day
