Julianna: Fave Part of the Museum

I’ve recently had the pleasure of checking out the Young Hae Chang Heavy Industries Exhibit. I’m a huge fan of contemporary art. Sometimes contemporary art doesn’t make any sense, and that’s exactly how I felt about Heavy Industries. Currently, this is my favorite, however as the indecisive person I am, I know I will come to love other parts just as much too.

I sat in the darkly lit room for around 10 minutes, switching between the two screens. One in English, one in Arabic.

How surreal it was, especially with the galaxy background, to see huge poetic words flash before my eyes. It felt like a dream. Also, I was alone in the room, which made it even better. I felt like I was floating in space, with the chimes of the words tickling my ears. I came out of the theater feeling refreshed, feeling new, feeling whole. And I have no idea why.
