Fave Part of the Museum: Jade

My favorite part of the Asian Art Museum is all the beautiful art and culture we have. Each piece of art is filled not only with beauty but also with the rich culture that each belongs to. The pieces tell the stories and beliefs of the cultures they represent, even if that is not the work’s primary function.

In particular, I really enjoy the Japanese galleries since I am part Japanese. I am also looking forward to being able to participate in the various Asian cultural celebrations that are offered at the Asian Art Museum. Not only am I excited to participate in Japanese traditions again, but I am looking forward to learning about other cultures’ traditions as well.
