Fave Part of the Museum: Zayn

My favorite part of the museum is actually working with the artists. Even though I’ve only had two days experiencing other artists’ processes, it is a really unique experience to be working on contemporary art in and around a museum space. Their work ties into work made hundreds of years ago. It is almost like continuing a conversation over hundreds of years and different languages, and that is something truly special.

Another part of my love for the Asian Art Museum is for the space itself. The more recent industrial addition with the older library section and the museum collection itself all make it a cohesive, timeless place. Being in the museum and walking through eras and across a continent is a unique experience to be cherished.
