Carmen: Reflecting on 2018

On a nation-wide scale, I feel like this is the year where unity is very important. After the tragic incident in the Florida high school, many teens protested for gun control. This was very inspirational because teens are coming together to project their opinion in a society where they are often ignored. Throughout the year, I’d like to see more people of my age group to have their voices heard. As for my personal goal for 2018, I haven’t gotten really far into my goal, which is to get driving permit by the end of the year. The extent of my progress was reading the driving handbook. I should definitely dedicate more time into this goal throughout the rest of the year.
